Norcross, Ga. Nabisco Strike Solidarity Rally

More than 125 supporters from Georgia labor organizations, together with Georgia state and local elected leaders, joined BCTGM International President Anthony Shelton for a solidarity rally supporting Local 42 members on strike at the Norcross, Ga. Nabisco facility.

President Shelton encouraged the Local 42 members to “stay united in solidarity” and praised their bravery in taking a stand against Nabisco. Southern Region Vice President Zach Townsend, International Representative Darrell Copeland and BCTGM member/AFL-CIO Field Staff Rep. Isaac Gobern also attended the rally.

The Atlanta-North Georgia Labor Council and the Georgia AFL-CIO helped Local 42 coordinate the event that included scores of union members and representatives of: Operating Engineers, UFCW, CWA, UAW, Painters Union, Teamsters, AFGE, LATSE, AFSCME and SEIU.
