Hundreds gather to support Nabisco bakery workers in Portland

Solidarity remains high going into the fourth week of the Nabisco strike in Portland, Ore. by members of Local 364. Every weekend, there is a rally and march outside the facility to involve the community and keep the spirits of the striking workers high.

Union members have picketed in front of the Columbia Boulevard facility around the clock since they hit the street on August 10. Hundreds gather every Saturday for a rally outside the bakery’s front gates, where union and community supporters chant, wave signs and give out boycott fliers.

This weekend, BCTGM International Secretary-Treasurer David Woods joined the Local 364 members outside the bakery’s front gates where he talked to workers, joined in strike songs and chants and marched side-by-side with union members and their families.
