Frito Lay Workers Receive GLOBAL Support

“We would like to convey our full support and solidarity with your ongoing strike to pursue your just claims and to defend and improve the existing rights and working conditions including a solution that promotes the well-being of workers and their families. We wish you every success with your strike and negotiations and we are committed to any further support that the Agro-Industrial Workers’ Union of Ukraine can deliver to help you succeed.”

– Svitlana Samosud, Chairwoman of the AIWU of Ukraine

In addition to the steadfast community support that striking members of Local 218 are receiving in Topeka, the workers continue to receive messages of solidarity from unions around the world as IUF affiliates send photos and statements of unity to be delivered to the picket line. Pictured here are workers of Artemsalt (salt mining), JTI, Philip Morris and Donetsk regional union of the AIWU of Ukraine who, “stand in solidarity with Frito-Lay workers on strike.”
