Biden Calls for PRO Act Passage in Infrastructure Speech

Working people are facing a crisis beyond anything we’ve weathered since the Great Depression. Overcoming this challenge is going to require unprecedented federal investment in working people and in our communities. That means passing an infrastructure package to tackle the climate injustice, racial injustice and economic injustice facing working families while creating a new generation of good-paying union jobs.

President Biden understands we need to go big, and this announcement brings us one step closer to delivering the aggressive changes we need to rebuild our country. However, investment alone won’t be enough. We have to make sure that as we rebuild our nation’s infrastructure, we’re creating a new generation of good-paying union jobs. That means changing the rules of our economy, starting by strengthening working people’s freedom to organize by passing the PRO Act.
