Local 58G Donates BCTGM Made Products to Ohio’s Largest Independent Food Bank

BCTGM Local 58G members at Hometown Foods in Toledo, Oho wanted to do something to assist the thousands in their community who need help feeding their families during the pandemic.

After securing a commitment by Hometown Foods to provide products to aid in their effort, union members contacted BCTGM International Representative/Business Agent Lisa Gregory to help.

A pallet filled with union-made products including Hungry Jack, Pillsbury, Martha White, White Lily, and Arrowhead Mills was loaded into Gregoryโ€™s truck for transport to SeaGate Food Bank.

BCTGM Intl. Rep. Lisa Gregory, L. 58G members Chris Fisher, Bob Scarlett and Steve Kastel.

According to Gregory, SeaGate Food Bank is Ohioโ€™s only independent food bank and provides food to more than 400 pantries and programs in Northwestern Ohio. One hundred percent of the donations are distributed directly within the community.
