21 Apr Stamp Out Hunger: Saturday, May 14, 2016
America’s largest one-day food drive is Saturday, May 14. Help your letter carriers #StampOutHunger!
The 24th Annucal Letter Carriers’ ( NALC) Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
-
Last year’s drive collected more than 70 million pounds of non-perishable food.
-
This is the 24th annual drive.
-
All food collected stays local.
For nearly a quarter century, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) has led an extraordinary effort to end hunger in America through its “Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.” This is the largest one-day food drive in the nation.
Throughout the years, the BCTGM has been proud to support the NALC campaign because we firmly believe that hunger in America is a crisis that can and must be eradicated. Please help support your local community by placing a bag of unopened, non-perishable food next to your mailbox on Saturday, May 14TH for your letter carrier to pick up. Once collected, the food is taken back to the postal station, sorted and delivered by union volunteers to area food banks or local food pantries for needy families.
